I've eaten breakfast here everd day for at least the last 5 years. Food is always excellent and the staff is always friendly. I like eating at the counter for the company.
Super fast greeting, both by hostess and server. Pretty basic breakfast menu...no fancy pancake/waffle/french toast options...just plain (with or without fruit. Hubby had eggs, hash browns and toast. Ordered the hash browns well done, and that's how they came. I had thick french toast. Very small portion, not very thick, and dry. Just ok. Wouldn't get again. Great service. Very good coffee. Ok food.
What a great breakfast spot right downtown! We came in on our way to the Museum and were seated right away at 9 on a Monday. We had blueberry pancakes, a peach waffle and a special with two eggs, two pancakes and two sausage and two bacon. Add three drinks and a coffee and it was still only about $40! Fast and friendly service as well. The crowd here leans toward retirees, but they must know a good thing!
This is our go to breakfast spot when we visit. Prices are reasonable, service is good and the place is always packed. If you're in the area I highly recommended this place.
The waitress was sassy, friendly and so fast! I think beginning to finish we had food in front of us within 10 minutes. The food was great! Humongous portions and well made.

Sunshine family restaurant was a nice place to eat in Dubuque, close to the hotels downtown! We had a good experience. My favorite thing I had were the delicious hash browns!
